Defining the Business and Research Problems

Defining the Business and Research Problems

It is important as a first step in any survey research to first understand the business problems and to translate them into the relevant research questions to be answered. While most businesses can correctly identify the business issues, translating them into meaningful and focused research areas may not always be that easy. It therefore requires extensive consultation with the various stakeholders (e.g., management, customers, frontline staff, etc.,) prior to the survey implementation.
